Lithic creates card issuing and payment infrastructure for technology companies that just works. We help some of the world’s fastest-growing digital banks, fintech companies, and software companies process billions in transactions annually. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer for our Issuing team to lead Lithic’s next phase of growth. The Issuing team builds and maintains services that manage the entire lifecycle of an account holder and card, including card issuance, physical card manufacturing, digital wallet tokenization, as well as KYB/KYC. Additionally, the Issuing team designs and maintains the stability of Lithic’s API (gateway, SDK), working with other teams to maintain our developer-first brand promise. You will become an expert in the card payments space. The team primarily uses Python and is rapidly adopting Rust. Job responsibilities:Lead development of new card and account opening lifecycle features (card issuance, tokenization, physical card manufacturing, KYB/KYC, document collection applications)Own initiatives from planning to launch, keeping stakeholders informed and aligned along the wayEnsure high reliability and availability for Lithic’s APIOrchestrate cross functional teamwork to design standards across all engineering teamsProvide expertise to bring industry best practices to our APIsLead efforts to improve systems and processes within the teamParticipate in the team on-call rotationQualifications:Experience shipping in production environment and leading projectsStrong distributed system instincts and design skillsExperience in or desire to learn RustAbility to lead cross-functional projects and step in as a strong individual contributorGrowth mindset and continuous desire to learn and improveAn interest in fintech and the payments space is preferredBase salary range for US candidates: $160,000 - $190,000Benefits: Health, vision, and dental insurance; HSA Contribution MatchUnlimited PTO401(k) match Voluntary Life Insurance and ADD 3% cashback on all Privacy purchases12-weeks fully paid parental leaveWork From Anywhere: work from anywhere in the world 4-weeks each year5-Year Fully Paid 4-Week Sabbatical ProgramWe believe in-person collaboration boosts creativity, communication, and agility, which are key to our growth.
