Role Description This role involves providing confidential, in-the-moment telephonic support and assessment services to employees of customer organisations during night shifts. Support individuals facing challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, financial concerns, and family issues. Utilise technology to stay connected with the team while working remotely. Deliver structured counselling and psychological support within a stepped care model. Triage clients into appropriate internal and external support pathways. Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Day to day you can expect to: Accept referrals and assess clients using validated risk assessment tools. Provide immediate emotional support, psychoeducation, and counselling interventions via telephone. Offer guidance on support options, including internal psychological pathways and external resources. Make informed decisions about the suitability of new referrals, ensuring alignment with TERC protocols. Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to data collection via CORE-Net. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring stepped care arrangements are in place. Support managers and key personnel in customer organisations with relevant client information as appropriate. Operate within an inclusive, recovery-focused framework that respects diversity and equal opportunities. Qualifications A minimum Level 4 Diploma in Counselling. Registered or accredited membership with a professional body (e.g., BACP, NCS). Experience in a fast-paced counselling or mental health environment. Enhanced DBS (we can assist with processing if needed). Requirements Experience in Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) or workplace mental health (desirable but not essential). Familiarity with psychological assessment tools and stepped care approaches (desirable but not essential).
