What you will do Strategic Vision & Planning • In collaboration with Live Action heads of technology and Studio CTO, provide short, medium, and long-term technical vision, architectural standards and implementation plans • Provide input and guidance on Capex purchases, annual operating plans and 5-year planning Infrastructure, Architecture& Security • Architect, develop, maintain and evolve a world class feature production infrastructure that provides a foundation for each Studio to tailor to their individual production needs • Provide compute and storage solutions including management of local and remote data centers as well as cloud infrastructure supporting all major phases of production • Design and implement next-generation DR, backup and restoration methods and procedures • Be accountable for the implementation and maintenance of system, storage, media systems, and SRE architectural standards and operations • Lead and maintain security architecture in collaboration with Studio and Global Content Security teams, ensuring consistent implementation and operational standards across systems and infrastructure Cross-Studio Leadership & Strategic Collaboration • Directly manage teams responsible for cross-Studio systems and storage engineering and operations • Collaborate across Studios to empower teams with scalable and efficient solutions, contribute to partner technology roadmaps, and support architecture and operations for global collaboration spaces Required Skills and Experiences • 15+ years of extensive leadership experience in feature film production technology, with deep expertise in production and post-production pipelines. • Experience with designing, architecting and maintaining highly complex media production/postproduction environments • Intimately familiar with large-scale data center infrastructure and cloud environments. • Superior written and verbal communication skills Education • Bachelor's Degree The hiring range for this position in California is $246,400 to $330,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
