Job DescriptionOur Quality Assurance (QA) team is on the search for a talented tester to make a meaningful impact on Alertus, its customers, and the mass emergency notification industry. The Associate QA Tester will work directly with the development team to understand software operation(s) and execute suitable test plans for reliable code. Our ideal candidate has keen attention to detail and the ability to catch errors and deficiencies in a critical life safety system. A Day in the Life: Perform functional, user experience, and performance testing for our suite of software and mobile productsJob will consist of 70% manual testing and 30% automated testingCreate and design test plans and test cases for various features and productsExecute test plans from specificationsClearly isolate, reproduce, and document bugs in pre-production and customer environmentsManage issue tracking software to track testing progress of all known issuesWork cross-departmentally to report and resolve issuesHelp to implement automation of software testing as instructed Required Skills: Excellent problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to document testing processes for use in technical manuals and/or product support siteAbility to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with both engineering and non-engineering teamsAbility to troubleshoot complex software issues. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.
