Finance Undergraduate Summer Internship - New York

Work with American Express as a Finance Undergraduate Summer Intern while working on impactful projects across various finance functions. Your Role Key responsibilities include: • Working in one of the following Finance areas: Corporate Planning & Analysis, Global Commercial Services Finance, US Consumer Services Finance, Global Merchant and Network Finance, Controllership, or Global Treasury • Completing a project solving a real business challenge for the organization • Providing best-in-class analysis and decision support to the Finance organization • Learning to articulate decisions clearly and gain buy-in from stakeholders across the business • Gathering and analyzing information from diverse sources, identifying trends, and explaining their business impact • Obtaining a comprehensive understanding of the business and its needs About You The company is looking for: • Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program • Bachelor’s degree candidates with expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027 • Ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets, spot trends, generate insights, and develop growth recommendations • Strategic thought leadership and creativity in synthesizing data into clear stories and key messages for multiple audiences • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, highly motivated self-starter with robust interpersonal skills • Ability to adapt to change and build trust-based relationships within Finance and with business partners across locations • Leadership qualities including courage, quick decision-making, and driving change management processes • Programming skills are a plus • Employment eligibility to work in the U.
