Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Research Scientist to join our team. The person who fills this role will perform exploratory, but grounded and directed, analyses into existing and future datasets to uncover new insights, driving modeling decisions and strategies to have real-world impact on patients with physical disabilities. Key ResponsibilitiesPerforming feature exploration to find more information-rich and robust features in existing neural datasetsProbing neural encoding of behavior and external stimuli to inform model designs and training strategiesDesigning and assessing neural-control strategies for optimal co-adaptation / learning within brain-computer interface applicationsWorking collaboratively within a small team to develop and assess neural-decoding models and translate scientific findings into product implementationsMaintaining versioned, clear, and highly documented code, analysis pipelines, and results for maximum interpretability and reproducibilityRequired QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Math, Engineering, Neuroscience, or other relevant fieldA minimum of 2 years of academic or industry research experience working with neural time-series datasetsExperience building encoding and decoding models with brain activityProficiency in Python and PyTorchPreferred QualificationsA PhD in Math, Engineering, Neuroscience, or other relevant fieldExperience designing real-time decoding strategies for brain-computer interfacesWhat We OfferAn opportunity to work on exciting, cutting-edge projects to transform patients’ lives in a highly collaborative work environment.
