As a Maintenance Technician III, you'll play a crucial role in leading service technicians, designing solutions for complex problems, and managing projects to drive success in our Operations Maintenance team. About the Role We're seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our team in Deltona, FL, on a full-time basis. As a Maintenance Technician III, you'll be responsible for leading the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment, as well as supporting the Operations Maintenance team in various capacities. Key Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and protocols. Lead service technicians on the team in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems in the building, including relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, and other electrical and electronic systems. Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Create and close out work orders with accurate data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used. Develop training plans for service technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge. Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity. Maintain a positive working relationship across all Operations facilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive success. Travel up to 20% of the time to support business needs, with a minimum requirement. Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. 1 year of experience in PC competency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to lift up to 49lbs, stand, and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field. 5+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls. 5+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and industrial electronics. 5+ years of experience conducting preventative maintenance. 5+ years of experience reading blueprints and schematics. 5+ years of experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs. 3+ years of work order management experience. 4+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field. Previous leadership experience and vendor management experience. Experience with robotic maintenance, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You'll also need to be proficient in PC-based systems, including Microsoft Office, and have experience with automated equipment and controls.
