About the position Responsibilities • Manage data sources to monitor the field execution of vendor programs & assortments. • Communicate complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels. • Stay informed of analytic best practices across the industry and provide effective information to deliver sales, margin, and market development goals. • Analyze and report data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions. • Track category performance, including sales, profits, margins, and market share. • Develop, communicate, execute, and monitor specific performance metrics and goals relevant to each business as part of regular, scheduled business reviews. • Create and deliver effective reports using POS data, Syndicated Data, and account-specific database information in presentation-ready formats. • Evaluate and make recommendations on supplier performance to enhance the company's inventory & fill rate objectives. • Understand and apply customer, consumer, and industry insights using market research data to deliver category growth. • Ensure superior client satisfaction by providing hands-on deep analytics and contributing to team problem-solving. • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and perform other job-related duties as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree and experience within the CPG sector; Adult Beverage preferred; Costco experience a value add. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and quantitative analysis skills. • Incorporating and interpreting data from multiple unrelated data sources into concise action-oriented recommendations. • Understanding of National Chain Sales, Retail, and Distributor operations. • Expertise in category management principles, syndicated data, and shopper/consumer insights (Numerator/Spectra, etc). • Ability to collaborate with external retail customers, key suppliers, and internal teams to deliver insights and recommendations. • Assertive leadership and decision-making skills with an aptitude for understanding changing market dynamics and resolving complex problems. • Preferred experience working with Syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI), Internal Shipment Data, and Household Panel. • Strong leadership, decision-making capability, and a proven track record of success. • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
