Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AMExperience:• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience is required.• Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.• Experience with Pyxis is preferred from any number of months. Requirements:• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).• This role will require floating to multiple units• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.• Flu vaccination required after submission. Medical declinations accepted. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Additional Details:Required Skills/Experience:- MS/Tele, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin Protocols, PCA, CVA, Seizure disorders, Substance Withdrawal, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound VacShift & Scheduling:- Shift: 36 or 48s- Weekend Requirement: Every otherFloating Requirements: May be floated to the corresponding sister units. West 2, West 3, and Observation unit are all sister units. Equipment Used on Unit:- SBARTypes of Patients on Unit:- Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, GeriatricsOrientation Hours: 16Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit:- Patient Diagnoses: Cardiac, Respiratory, COVID, infectious disease, pre and post operative, endocrine. CVA. Unit Details:- Certified Stroke CenterRequired Credentials:- Background policy - reviewed on case-by-case basis- Cert: ACLS, BLS - Provider/Instructor/RQI are acceptable.
