ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking a Solutions Specialist to help spearhead Power Factors’ continued growth in the wind, solar, and storage market. As a key team member, you will have the mandate to ensure a smooth client experience from top-of-funnel sales engagements. The Solutions Specialist (SS) is a technical solutions specialist responsible for engaging with prospects and customers as technical advisors. The SS knows our customers business intimately and understands the unique challenges and aspirations of each of them. The SS is an entrepreneurial, cross-functional role that requires multiple skill sets and involves significant interaction and coordination with our prospective customers and Power Factors’ internal sales, engineering, product, development, data science, and customer success teams globally. The SS plays a strategic role in sales planning and target achievement, facilitating complex technical engagements with our enterprise clients. The SS guides our customers, as well as internal stakeholders like Product, Technology, and Customer Success, through a process of rigorous discovery to understand our customers’ needs, pain points, and objectives and then present them with the right solution that achieve those objectives and deliver the desired business value. Key Responsibilities:Account management technical advisory:Assists Customer Success Team with technical and product knowledge to ensure successful migration of our APM legacy applications to the new APM. Serves as technical advisor for our customers to make the migration a smooth process. Defines the value proposition for our customers to migrate from our legacy systems to our new applications. Ensures our customers use cases will have added value when migrating to the new application aligning technical solutions with business objectives. Demonstrates strong sales acumen and assists the Sales and Customer Success Teams in technical presentations, demos, proof-of-value and RFP responses. Works closely with prospects and customers to understand their unique business requirements, processes, and technical needs, evaluates their feasibility and provides insights on possible solution pathways. Engages with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on solution deliverables and expectations. Technical Leadership:Leads technical discussions, presentations and trial projects (Sandbox, Proof-of-Value) with customers and prospects. Acts as a technical liaison between the client and our product and engineering teams. Provides training and support to customers during the implementation process of proofs of value. Collects feedback from customers to inform ongoing product development. Attends industry events and trade shows and serves as a Power Factors technical brand ambassador. Provides mentorship and guidance to junior team members. Stays updated with the latest trends in renewable energy, SaaS architectures, and related technologies. Focus on detail when tailoring the customer facing materials to each customer. Develops customer facing documentation addressed to both non-technical (not IT people) and technical audiences. Specifically, we are looking for someone with the following creative skillset:Bachelor’s or Master's in a technical field, e.g., Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering; Master’s degree is considered an assetMinimum five (5) years of relevant experience in the renewable energy industry with experience in technical product/project management, business process development, software development, IoT/networkingWork experience using and configuring Web-based IoT, SaaS, and IPaaS data platforms, including DAS platforms, SCADA systems, enterprise databases and historians, OSIsoft PI, and other cloud platforms, e.g., Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web ServicesRelevant work experience in navigating the renewable energy landscape, including utilities, EPCs, third-party O&M organizations, asset owners, asset managers, and hardware and software vendorsDemonstrated ability to quickly jump into complex problems and navigate competing priorities to drive solutions using analytical and decision-making skills and priority managementExcellent, clear, concise written and oral communication skills in English.
