Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Inventory Manager to take a leadership role in building one of Amazon's fastest-growing businesses. As a Sr. Instock Manager, you will own all operational initiatives and work directly with multiple vendors, management, and internal teams, such as Amazon Global Inventory Planning, Delivery Experience, and NA Operations. Your primary goal will be to figure out the best way to meet various customer requirements, including stabilizing speed, reliability, and cost. You will also focus on improving fast-track performance in those categories, especially as it relates to replenishable products. Key Responsibilities Develop and own strategic business plans for the business unit, as well as tactical execution Ensure that our demand forecasting, inventory management systems, and supply chain network can handle both business-customer orders and end-consumer orders Source products and leverage new technologies to meet customer requirements Build cross-team relationships to influence senior leaders of current systems and the Amazon network Negotiate with systems teams to fine-tune tools and processes for their market segment Redesign existing processes, networks, or systems as needed Partner with the Amazon Business product management team to pilot operational initiatives Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 5+ years of experience with Excel A Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience Experience working with complex data sets Experience communicating results to senior leadership Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniques Experience with SQL Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience in inventory management, supply chain management, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Experience with Amazon's inventory management systems and tools Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve business goals Analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets and communicate results to senior leadership Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve problems in a fast-paced environment Leadership skills: Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve business goals Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Amazon, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
