We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Service Support Representative to join our Patient Customer Service team in our Revenue Cycle Management Division. About the Role As a Customer Service Support Representative, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient experiences by providing empathetic and solutions-focused support to patients, doctor's offices, and private insurance carriers. You'll be part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to resolving patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities Respond to a high volume of inbound calls from patients, doctor's offices, and private insurance carriers, providing accurate and timely information to resolve inquiries and concerns. Initiate payment plans for patients with outstanding balances, ensuring that patients receive the support they need to manage their financial obligations. Utilize multiple resources to resolve patient inquiries while on the phone, demonstrating expertise and knowledge of Labcorp's services and procedures. Maintain performance goals and metrics, ensuring that you're meeting or exceeding expectations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Become proficient with processes and procedures after completing a structured training program, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations. Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in medical and/or call center environment a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with patients and provide solutions-focused support. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in navigating multiple computer screens and applications, with alpha-numeric data entry skills. Dedicated work-from-home space with a reliable internet connection (at least 50 Mbps download speed) and the ability to connect equipment to a router/modem with an Ethernet cord. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a customer service or patient support role, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures. Experience with call center software and technology, including CRM systems and phone systems. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex patient inquiries and concerns.
