Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Product Manager II to join our team, focusing on renewable energy and solar PV systems development. As a Product Manager II, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our products, from driving new product development to manufacturing and marketing. You will play a key role in developing and implementing overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to meet sales and profit targets. Key Responsibilities Develop Solar PV design and construction packages, including solar array layouts, electrical one-lines, collection systems, and equipment installation details for utility-scale solar PV systems (20-500MW+). Utilize AutoCAD, Excel spreadsheets, commercial and proprietary engineering software to design solar PV systems. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the NFPA NEC Code and manage external subcontractors for adjacent services. Interact directly with clients to ensure successful project execution and support the development of early-stage projects with conceptual designs and material take-offs (pre-LNTP). Contribute to the continual development of internal solar engineering standards, toolsets, and work processes, and turn initial system conceptual ideas into fully developed optimized EPC designs. Other Key Responsibilities Design knowledge in other renewable areas, such as energy storage and high-voltage underground cable systems, is a plus. Oversee and execute process improvements, develop policies, procedures, methods, and tools to support delivery, and support pre-sales processes. Work with sales and account management professionals to win new business, implement business proposals, and review and refine proposals. Research and develop new solar technologies for product development, stay current on new technological developments, and generate new ideas to go beyond the status quo. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Education or experience with power systems analysis and design. At least 1+ years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly in renewable energy facilities. Strong written and oral communication skills, including study report writing. Strong operational, project management, consulting technology, and process skills, as well as strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills at the executive level. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable: Experience with CYMCAP for cable ampacity analysis. Experience with power systems modeling software, such as SAM, PVSyst, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSSE, PSLF, or similar software. Experience with the performance of electrical system studies, including load flow and reactive power, short circuit, and cable ampacity analysis. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Experience with estimating or designing electrical systems. Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices.
