You'll be responsible for performing in-depth research and analysis of complex healthcare data, developing insightful reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of healthcare claims data, pharmacy data, and lab data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges. Develop and present healthcare utilization and cost containment reports, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders. Direct Health Plan strategic analysis and planning, coordinating across business units to meet data analysis and database development needs. Mentor, coach, and provide guidance to team members on finance and analysis best practices. Set departmental priorities in alignment with the operating plan, budget, and regulatory requirements. Implement strategies to ensure service level benchmarks for report turn-around are met, demonstrating best practices and collaboration on projects. Review high-priority analyses, reports, SQL programming, and other Finance projects for accuracy, completeness, return on investment, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert on finance and healthcare analytics topics, teaching financial and technical information to stakeholders. Review regulatory contract requirements and reporting requirements applicable to the Finance Department, implementing strategies and infrastructure to ensure compliance. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience leading healthcare analytics functions. At least 12 years of work experience, preferably in a claims processing environment and/or healthcare environment. Strong knowledge of SQL 2005/2008 SSRS report development. Familiarity with relational database concepts and SDLC concepts. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following preferred qualifications will give you a competitive edge: A Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, Math, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 5-7 years of supervisory experience.
