[ad_1] Job SummaryThe Alarm Management Program Manager will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive alarm management program for BAS/FAS operations. This role will focus on reducing alarm fatigue, improving operator effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. The Program Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to establish an alarm philosophy, rationalization framework, and performance monitoring tools that enhance safety, efficiency, and long-term reliability. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement an alarm philosophy document defining alarm types, priorities, and response protocols. Conduct gap analyses comparing current practices to ISA 18.2, ISO 550000, and OSHA standards. Design and oversee an alarm rationalization framework to suppress, prioritize, or eliminate alarms. Establish and maintain a performance metrics dashboard to track alarm activity and operator performance. Lead workshops to review current practices, identify quick wins, and create long-term improvement roadmaps. Provide training for operators and technicians to ensure proper alarm handling and response procedures. Collaborate with system operators, engineers, and technicians to assign roles and responsibilities for ongoing program management. QualificationsProven experience in building automation systems (BAS) or fire alarm systems (FAS), with knowledge of platforms such as ALC, Siemens, or Distech. Strong understanding of alarm management principles, including ISA 18.2, ISO 550000, and OSHA best practices. Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-campus or enterprise-wide systems. Excellent communication, facilitation, and training skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience using performance metrics and dashboards. Success MetricsReduction in average alarms per hour per operator. Decrease in nuisance and standing alarms. Improved response time to critical alarms. Reduction in duplicate technician dispatches. Positive operator feedback regarding reduced fatigue and improved clarity.
