Job Summary As a Customs Brokerage Representative III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of international shipments and compliance with customs regulations. You will utilize your advanced knowledge of entry writing, classification, and government agency clearances to prepare and process customs entries, communicate with clients and carriers, and resolve documentation discrepancies. Key Responsibilities Customs Entries Preparation and Processing: Prepare and process customs entries, including classification according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS), and participate in government agencies clearances (PGA), Code of Regulations, and Customs regulations. Freight Coordination and Delivery: Coordinate freight delivery to designated locations, interface with international and domestic carriers, overseas offices, and importers. Documentation Discrepancy Resolution: Communicate documentation discrepancies to clients and supervisors, and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner. Client Relationship Building: Establish and maintain client relationships, providing exceptional customer service and support. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports, presentations, and analysis using various software packages and databases. Scanning and Imaging: Scan entries into the imaging system, meeting allotted and sensitive time requirements. Finance and Accounting Reconciliation: Resolve finance and accounting reconciliation exchange issues. Weekend and Holiday Work Schedule: Work on a weekend schedule on a department rotation basis and holiday schedule based on the needs of the operation and account requirements. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Education: High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent. Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience working for a Customs Broker. Basic Knowledge: Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws and regulations, and other government departments. Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Data Entry Skills: Accurate and rapid data entry. Preferred Qualifications: Customers Broker License: Customers Broker License.
