Key Responsibilities: Elevating Literature Study Guides As a Freelance Editor with SuperSummary, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our literature study guides. Your primary responsibilities will include: Developmental editing: Bolstering summaries and literary analysis to provide clear and concise insights into complex texts. Copyediting: Ensuring that guides are free of errors and flow smoothly. Content evaluation: Assessing the quality of ideas presented by our writers and suggesting improvements where necessary. Rewriting: Enhancing clarity, pace, and overall flow of the guides. Prioritization: Strategizing your editing approach to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Collaboration: Working closely with our dedicated editorial team to ensure consistency and quality across guides. Essential Qualifications: The Skills and Experience We're Looking For To succeed as a Freelance Editor with SuperSummary, you'll need: Exceptional writing skills and a keen eye for detail. Extensive editing experience, particularly in academic writing. A proven track record of comprehensive editing of long-form content. A passion for literature and the ability to analyze a wide range of texts. The availability to complete multiple editing assignments per week. The ability to prioritize your editing strategy for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. While not essential, a background in literature, literary analysis, and/or teaching is highly desirable. We're also keen to hear from editors who are interested in participating in other content team projects, such as writer training and market research.
