We're seeking an experienced Energy Center Operator to join our team, ensuring the seamless operation of our utilities and maintenance systems. About the Role: Energy Center Operator As the night shift Energy Center Operator, you will be responsible for providing all utilities for the Tipp City site, including electric, water, steam, compressed air, refrigeration, air conditioning, and fire protection. You will operate and perform routine maintenance on Energy Center equipment, ensuring minimal supervision. This role demands a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success. Key Responsibilities: Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system. Operate Energy Center equipment and related control systems, including gas boilers, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, water treatment systems, fire protection system, and Wastewater Pre-treatment plant. Perform various chemical tests on steam and water systems, such as hardness, conductance, alkalinity, pH, etc., and use test results to maintain proper control of different steam and water systems. Perform routine maintenance on Energy Center systems and equipment, including boilers, chillers, air compressors, steam systems, water softeners, pumps, and HVAC systems. Use computer-based BMS system for both utility and HVAC control systems. Requirements and Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: High school diploma/GED. 3rd Class State of Ohio Stationary Engineer's License. 4+ years of related experience in operating and maintaining energy center type equipment, such as boilers, refrigeration, air compressors, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic control systems in a similar environment. Ability to diagnose and repair problems without shutting the site down or jeopardizing site operations. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chemical testing and treatment of steam and water systems. Familiarity with computer-based BMS systems for utility and HVAC control. Mechanical aptitude and experience with maintenance of boilers, chillers, air compressors, and HVAC systems. What We Offer: Compensation and Benefits: $33.00 per hour plus a 5% shift differential. $3,000 sign-on bonus. Competitive compensation package.
