Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Cybersecurity Incident Responder to join our team. As a Principal Cybersecurity Incident Responder, you will play a critical role in protecting our company's digital assets and responding to security incidents. This is a remote job opportunity, offering a competitive salary of $27 per hour. Key Responsibilities Lead response efforts for the entire lifecycle of security incidents, including incident identification, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery Collaborate with the Global IT organization to develop and implement incident response strategies and procedures Communicate incident status and technical details to senior leadership and incident coordinators Develop and maintain the incident response program, including processes, technologies, and training Engage, manage, and direct third-party breach and forensic services as needed Establish and maintain a forensic program, incorporating best practices and technologies from the Digital Forensics Incident Response (DFIR) community Lead computer forensic analysis of various data security incidents and suspicious events, including mobile, server, cloud, and digital evidence Collaborate with SOC Analysts and Incident Coordinators to develop and conduct threat-based IR tabletops and simulation exercises Work with the SIEM Engineering team to improve telemetry and visibility for incident detection and investigations Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field 3+ years of combined experience in incident response, malware analysis, and forensic analysis Experience with security incident management strategies throughout the entire lifecycle: assessment, containment, recovery, documentation, evidence preservation, and forensics Proven experience performing hands-on forensic examinations of mobile devices, servers, workstations, tablets, and other digital evidence Advanced working knowledge of at least one forensic tool (e.g., EnCase, FTK, etc.) Significant experience with malware detection, malware analysis, and reverse-engineering malicious code Broad hands-on experience with EDR technologies, malicious code analysis, packet capture analysis, identifying indicators of compromise (IOCs), threat analysis, anomaly detection, next-generation firewalls (NGFW), security incident and event management (SIEM) technologies, and vulnerability assessment tools Solid understanding of networking, operating system platforms, database management systems, as well as cloud and hosting services Strong written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal collaborative skills; and the ability to communicate cybersecurity concepts to technical and non-technical audiences Preferred Qualifications Four-year degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Certifications like CISSP or equivalent Experience with compliance and contractual requirements for SOX, PCI, GDPR, etc. Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At T.
