About the Role of a Fitness Trainer at Planet Fitness As a Fitness Trainer at Planet Fitness, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional fitness experiences to our members. Your primary responsibilities will include operating our group fitness program (PE@PF), creating a class schedule for members, and proactively engaging with members on the club floor to help them achieve their fitness goals. You will also be responsible for instructing members on how to safely use our equipment, providing support as needed, and promoting our Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members and offering assistance and support in their fitness journeys. Key Responsibilities: Create a class schedule for members, including Orientation and DYOP (Develop your own program) Proactively engage with members on the club floor to help them achieve their fitness goals Instruct members on how to safely use our equipment and provide support as needed Promote our Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members and offering assistance and support in their fitness journeys Perform prospective member calls and tours, assessing their membership needs and offering Trainer services Greet members and guests as they enter and exit the club, assisting them with any questions or concerns Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with their inquiries Regularly clean and sanitize all exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities Ensure restrooms are clean and sanitized, stocked, and clutter-free by following the routine cleaning schedule Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong passion for fitness and a desire to deliver exceptional customer service. You should be able to exhibit a positive and upbeat attitude, handle all interactions with diplomacy, and show respect to everyone around you. You should also be able to communicate effectively, listen and empathize with members, and inspire and motivate others to achieve their goals.
