Join our team of dedicated educators as an AVID Tutor and play a vital role in shaping the minds of secondary students in New Jersey! As a remote tutor, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere, with a schedule that fits your needs. We are seeking highly motivated and skilled college students to tutor AVID students using Socratic Tutorial Methods, under the supervision of a certified AVID teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience, develop your teaching skills, and make a positive impact on the lives of students. Key Responsibilities: • Tutor secondary AVID students using Socratic Tutorial Methods during the regular school day (up to 18 hours per week) • Work collaboratively with certified AVID teachers to drive student success • Participate in pre-training and ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge of AVID methodologies Requirements: • Current college student with a high school diploma • Pre-training in AVID methodologies required (some training will occur outside of the AVID classroom during evening sessions) • Strong communication and interpersonal skills What We Offer: • Competitive hourly rate of $15.00 • Flexible remote work schedule (up to 18 hours per week) • Opportunities for professional growth and development How to Apply: To apply, please visit our district website at www.millville.org and select the 'Employment' link to view vacancies and begin the application process.
