Key Responsibilities Enter data into computer or database system with high accuracy and efficiency, meeting established deadlines and productivity standards. Review discrepancies in data received, request clarification, or advise supervisor of issues related to data to ensure data integrity. Perform data verification routines in accordance with established procedures and deadlines to verify accuracy of entered data. Produce reports and printouts as needed, utilizing database software and word processing applications. Maintain a high level of data quality, adhering to organizational standards and best practices. Operate general office equipment, including computers, printers, and scanners. Qualifications and Requirements Education and Experience The ideal candidate will meet the following education and experience requirements based on the level of Data Entry Technician they are applying for: Data Entry Technician I: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one (1) year of data entry experience. Data Entry Technician II: One year certificate from college or technical school; or one and one-half years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, and two (2) years of data entry experience. Data Entry Technician III: One year certificate from college or technical school; or one and one-half years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience, and three (3) years of data entry experience. Essential Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess: Knowledge of database software and word processing applications. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and speed. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data discrepancies. Effective communication skills to request clarification or advise supervisor of data issues. Ability to operate a computer and other general office equipment. Completion of a data entry course is preferred. Completion of medical terminology and/or ICD-9 Coding is preferred for certain departments. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations For certain positions, particularly those in Food Distribution, you must: Possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA). Not be listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
