Job Description of Warehouse Clerk: In the FedEx Warehouse, the Warehouse Clerk plays a vital role in operating efficiently. This role involves handling goods through their movement, storage, and dispatch. Loading and unloading shipments, sorting packages, and documenting and storing goods with accuracy. The Warehouse Clerk ensures that packages flow uninterrupted to satisfy delivery timelines. Key Responsibilities of Warehouse Clerk: • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks. • Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. • Assist with the coordination of shipping and receiving activities. • Load and unload packages from delivery trucks and trailers. • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards. • Prepare packages for shipment by labeling, sealing, and securing them. Qualifications of Warehouse Clerk: • The attainment of a high school diploma or its alternative provides individuals with foundational skills required for success in the workforce. • Capacity to hoist and transfer objects weighing up to 50 pounds. • Demonstrating exceptional accuracy and meticulous attention to detail. • For this position, applicants should have a fundamental understanding of computers and familiarity with warehouse management systems. • Excelling in a high-pressure work environment is valued. • Exhibiting excellent skills in organization and time management.
