Component Ownership: Take responsibility for one or more components within Akamai's Web Security platform. Network & Protocol Expertise: Demonstrate deep understanding of internet protocols (TCP/UDP, TLS/DTLS, HTTP) and network layers. Operational Mindset: Embrace a 'service always available' philosophy through resilient software design and operational awareness. Problem-Solving: Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex customer-facing network issues. Cloud Native Applications: Work with and deploy cloud-native constructs and technologies. Key Skills & ExperienceProgramming Languages: Proficiency in C++ and C. Unix/Linux Environment: Strong experience developing and coding within a Unix/Linux environment. Networking Fundamentals: Well-versed in how the internet works, including routing, TCP/UDP, TLS/DTLS, and HTTP. Agile & SDLC: Experience with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
