Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to join our team at Amazon's Project Kuiper, a revolutionary initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, broadband networks to underserved communities worldwide. In this role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge, real-time, embedded software that flies the satellite, as well as ground-based applications that predict orbital state, monitor for potential collisions, and optimize maneuvers. You will work closely with a team of experienced engineers to design, model, test, and iterate on the GNC system, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the satellite constellation. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement GNC algorithms and software for satellite flight and ground-based systems • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and integrate GNC systems with other satellite subsystems • Participate in satellite-level testing, flight operations, and anomaly resolution • Contribute to the development of new technologies and techniques to improve GNC system performance and efficiency Requirements: • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience • 2+ years of non-internship design or engineering experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems • Experience programming with at least one programming language • 1+ year of experience with embedded systems and aerospace, control systems, or real-time software • Experience with design patterns, data structures, and test-driven development Preferred Qualifications: • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations • Experience with interdisciplinary developments that involve hardware, software, and algorithm co-design and verification • Ability to work with embedded Linux with real-time extensions, systems programming, concurrency, and scheduling • Ability to build, test, and validate real-time or safety-critical systems What We Offer: • Competitive salary ($25-$35/hour) • Opportunity to work on a revolutionary project with a talented team of engineers • Collaborative and dynamic work environment • Professional development and growth opportunities How to Apply: If you are a motivated and experienced GNC engineer looking for a challenging and rewarding role, please submit your application, including your resume and a cover letter, to Apply To This Job Apply for this job Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
