Our Values and Leadership BehaviorsAbout the RoleThe Senior Accountant position is responsible for various monthly accounting activities and analysis. Specific responsibilities include preparing and posting journal entries, account reconciliations, providing general support on various projects and accounting initiatives, technical accounting analysis, and various other activities to support cross-functional operations outside the group. Key ResponsibilitiesRecord entries for activity and transactions for assigned accounts (which primarily includes Inventory, COGS, and Revenue)Support technical GAAP analysis of new company initiatives and transactions (e.g. new revenue and offsite inventory transactions) to ensure proper accounting treatmentAssist with audit requests, such as preparing supporting documentation and schedulesReconcile and analyze general ledger and sub-ledger accountsPerform analytical reviews including researching variances between actual and expected results, budgets and forecasts. Support software and project initiatives by providing recommendations impacting relevant subject matter areas (requirements gathering, UAT, etc.)Partner with impacted cross-functional teams on ad-hoc projects and/or initiativesAssist in tracking and managing the company’s inventory. This includes maintaining inventory records, conducting physical inventory counts, and reconciling inventory records to physical counts. Maintain process documentation and look for opportunities to automate and improve daily accounting processesBuild and present ad-hoc reports to support monthly analyses as neededQualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required2+ years of experience in accounting required; 1-2 years with an audit firm preferredCPA preferredExtensive knowledge of US GAAPExperience with Oracle ERP preferredStrong accounting, reconciliation and analytic skillsProficient in MS ExcelLocation (Where will you be working?)Remote within the United States Pay Range (How much might you earn in your base salary?)$75,000 - $94,000This position is also be eligible for short-term and long-term incentives based on individual and company performance. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per CA SB 1162 (“CA Pay Transparency Law”).
