Company Overview: At The Home Depot, the Freight and Receiving Associate plays a critical role in ensuring the store is fully stocked and ready for customers every day. This position supports store operations by managing freight flow, maintaining accurate inventory and pricing, and contributing to overall store readiness while following safety protocols. Role and Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for unloading, stocking, organizing, and transporting freight to ensure a safe and efficient store environment. You will also interact with customers during freight handling and collaborate with team leads to achieve store goals. • Unload merchandise from inbound freight deliveries. • Stock products onto shelves, end caps, or promotional displays. • Transport freight from the receiving area to the sales floor or storage locations. • Maintain accurate on-hand quantities and product locations in the system. • Ensure all pricing labels and signs are accurate and visible. • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (if certified). • Follow all safety and loss prevention policies and procedures. • Provide customer service when interacting with customers during freight handling. • Maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving and freight areas. • Collaborate with Freight Team Leads and store leadership to meet stocking and store readiness goals. Required Skills and Experience: • Must be 18 years or older. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently. • Able to work flexible schedules including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. • Basic reading, math, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous retail or warehouse experience. • Forklift or power equipment certification (or willingness to be certified). • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
