Job Summary As an Experienced Full Stack Software Engineer – Web & Cloud Application Development, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, secure, and efficient software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and employees. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements, develop technical solutions, and implement best practices in software development. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack software applications using a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and tools Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and team members to identify business requirements and develop technical solutions Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient software systems that meet the needs of our customers and employees Participate in code reviews, ensure high-quality code, and follow best practices in software development Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and provide technical support to customers and employees Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and new programming languages, and apply this knowledge to improve our software solutions Contribute to the development of technical documentation, and provide training and support to customers and employees Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with a focus on web and cloud application development Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript Experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Strong understanding of software development principles, patterns, and best practices Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices Experience with cloud-based security solutions such as AWS IAM or Azure Active Directory Skills and Competencies Strong technical skills in full-stack software development, with a focus on web and cloud application development Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop creative solutions Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and priorities Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Southwest Airlines, we're committed to providing our employees with opportunities for learning, growth, and career advancement.
