About the Role: Technical Program Manager II, Software Development We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager II to join our Cloud Networking team. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll have the opportunity to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, working closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You'll be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and managing change to ensure the successful delivery of our software development projects. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with partners to streamline deployment processes, ensuring they are built, maintained, and transformed over time to meet the evolving needs of our business. Communicate health, status, and actions to stakeholders, including management and partner organizations, to ensure transparency and alignment. Identify and assess Continuous Improvement opportunities through qualitative feedback from subject matter experts (SMEs) and process data, driving informed decision-making and process enhancements. Conduct technical process definition and analysis sessions with business SMEs to ensure that our software development processes are aligned with business objectives. Determine how and where new tooling should be applied in existing workflows, working through the business logic (inputs/outputs) to ensure seamless integration. Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners, including engineering, product, and operations teams, to ensure effective collaboration and communication. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in program management, with a focus on software development and delivery. Experience with databases, programming/scripting, and SQL, with the ability to apply technical expertise to drive project success. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, with a focus on software development and delivery. Experience in vendor management in the telecommunications/network industry, with a strong understanding of network planning and engineering principles. Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders across different functions and geographies, managing change and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Strong technical expertise, with experience in software development, databases, and programming/scripting. Skills and Competencies Strong technical program management skills, with experience in software development and delivery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive informed decision-making and process enhancements. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range for this role, with a US base salary range of $122,000-$178,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
