As an Account Director at a very reputable network security company, you will own and grow a portfolio of enterprise and service provider accounts in the computer and network security space. This is not a box-shifting role — it’s about positioning advanced solutions that span network performance, cybersecurity, monitoring, forensics, fault finding, and optimisation. You’ll engage with senior stakeholders to uncover challenges, align solutions, and deliver measurable outcomes that protect, optimise, and secure critical network environments.
You’ll be stepping into existing accounts with strong potential for growth, while also driving new business within your territory. Key Responsibilities
Deliver and exceed an annual sales target of £1,000,000 through a mix of account growth and new business.
Develop trusted relationships with enterprise and service provider customers, including executive and C-level stakeholders.
Position solutions across the full lifecycle of network infrastructure — from power and cooling, through traffic generation and application performance monitoring, to packet capture and cybersecurity.
Identify customer needs in network performance, forensics, fault finding, and cyber security, and align these with our value proposition.
Maximise account penetration by cross-selling and upselling solutions and services.
Build and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and monthly forecast, using CRM to track opportunities and activity.
Work closely with Pre-Sales, Technical, and Senior Management teams to develop winning proposals and deliver client-focused solutions.
Monitor market developments, competitor offerings, and customer trends to inform account strategy.
Represent the company with professionalism and integrity, enhancing our reputation in the network security market. Skills & Experience
Essential:
Proven success in account management or account director roles within the network infrastructure / performance management space (5+ years).
Strong knowledge of technologies such as network testing, monitoring, traffic generation, packet capture, forensics, and cybersecurity services.
Ability to have credible technical conversations on network infrastructure and performance challenges.
Experience selling to enterprise customers, network operators, and/or service providers.
Track record of managing £1M+ sales targets with six-figure average deal sizes.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to create compelling business cases.
Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
Familiarity with modern sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC).
Comfortable working independently while collaborating across technical and commercial teams. Desirable:
Degree in Information Technology or related field.
Knowledge of enterprise, public sector, or service provider markets and current transformation drivers.
Understanding of compliance requirements and cyber security maturity models. Personal Attributes
Gravitas, integrity, and confidence when engaging senior stakeholders.
Highly organised, with strong forecasting and pipeline management skills.
Consultative, curious, and able to ask the right questions.
Driven, proactive, and resilient in pursuing growth.
Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
Committed to delivering outstanding client experience. Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a set of key accounts and make a tangible impact on their network performance and security posture. You’ll be selling best-in-class solutions in a space where demand is only increasing — from cyber resilience to digital transformation. Further benefits can be discussed in conversation.
