Role Overview As an Eligibility Representative I, you will play a critical role in processing and maintaining eligibility information for routine individual and/or employer groups under direct supervision. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate eligibility records, conducting audits, and responding to eligibility inquiries from individuals and employer groups. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate eligibility records for assigned line of business, including entering system eligibility data on a daily basis, such as new enrollees, changes, and cancellations. Conduct periodic audits of group eligibility data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Reconcile group eligibility reports to monthly statements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies. Respond to all written and telephone eligibility inquiries from individuals or assigned employer groups, providing timely and accurate information. Research information on subscribers to resolve problems and disputes, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Maintain quality and production standards as outlined by the department, consistently meeting or exceeding performance goals. Assist with special projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn and grow. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, as well as one year of general work experience. You should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, as you will be interacting with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in healthcare or a related field, with a strong understanding of eligibility processes and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on providing timely and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
