Research Assistant – Investor Content Collection & Transcription (VC Insights) Job Overview: We’re looking for a sharp, organized, and detail-oriented freelancer to help us collect and organize content from top venture capitalists and investors. Your task is to gather interviews, podcasts, blog posts, and social media content from a list of well-known investors, transcribe their appearances, and store them in a shared Google Drive folder for investor. Your Responsibilities: Access the investor list: ➤ Investor Spreadsheet (Google Sheet) Set up folders: ➤ Use this shared drive: Google Drive Root Folder ➤ For each investor listed in the spreadsheet: Create a folder titled with their full name (match spreadsheet format exactly) Inside their folder, create two subfolders: Spoken Content Written Content Find Content from 2020–Present: Search for podcast appearances, conference videos, YouTube talks, social video clips Find blog posts, LinkedIn articles/posts, X/Twitter threads, and other written content Focus on original content published by or featuring the investor directly Create Documents for Each Appearance: For audio/video content: Use an AI transcription tool or manual transcription Clearly label each speaker (e.g., “Katherine Boyle (Investor)”, “Host”) Save each appearance as a separate Google Doc in the Spoken Content folder For blogs/social posts/articles: Copy the full text into a Google Doc in the Written Content folder Include the post title and publication date at the top Paste the source URL at the top Track Your Work in the Spreadsheet: For each investor: Enter the number of items found (goal: 15–20 per investor) in column F Update column E (Status) with: In Progress Completed (15) (or the corresponding number of items you could find). Paste the link to the investor’s folder in column G ✅ Requirements: Excellent English skills (grammar, spelling, labeling) Experience with transcription (using tools like Otter, Descript, Rev.com etc.) Familiarity with Google Drive and Docs Good judgment when selecting content (original, insightful, and recent) Bonus: Understanding of tech/startup/VC landscape Deliverables: 15–20 content items per investor All Google Docs properly saved and organized Spreadsheet updated with item count, status, and folder link Further Work Potential: If you do well with this project, we may have more research and transcription work coming soon—covering additional investors, companies, and market segments. This could lead to ongoing part-time freelance work, depending on performance and availability.
