Key Responsibilities In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to passengers, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive travel experience. Your key responsibilities will include: Assisting passengers with baggage pick-up, including resolving issues with delayed, lost, or damaged items Utilizing computer software to track and catalog luggage, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of passenger belongings Handling customer interactions with professionalism, empathy, and a customer-centric approach, addressing concerns and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner Performing other related duties as assigned, including tasks that require physical activity, such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items of up to 70 pounds Maintaining a high level of alertness and awareness, particularly in a fast-paced airport environment, to ensure safety and security Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications: Be a local (in-state) resident, with a strong understanding of the local community and airport operations Hold a High School diploma or GED, with a strong foundation in communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills Possess a valid In-State Driver’s License, with a clean driving record and ability to travel to the airport as needed Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, with a minimum of 10 years of clear history Be at least 18 years of age, with authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 Complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security, with a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of safety and security Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in customer-facing roles, particularly in the aviation or travel industry Strong knowledge of airport operations, including baggage handling and security procedures Ability to speak multiple languages, with a focus on languages commonly spoken by international travelers Experience with computer software and technology, including baggage tracking and customer relationship management systems Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with passengers, colleagues, and stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively in a fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration, empathy, and mutual respect Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and quality in all aspects of the role Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, including flight delays, cancellations, and other disruptions to airport operations Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At our company, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
