About the Senior Software Developer RoleAs a Senior Crypto Software Developer, you'll be instrumental in building Wealthsimple's non-custodial crypto infrastructure from the ground up. You'll work at the intersection of traditional fintech and decentralized protocols, helping to bridge the gap between complex blockchain technology and intuitive user experiences. This role offers the unique opportunity to shape how over a million crypto clients interact with decentralized finance while maintaining Wealthsimple's high standards for security, reliability, and user experience. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to Build and architect new on-chain non-custodial products that give users full control over their crypto assetsDesign and implement integrations with leading DEXs, DeFi protocols, and wallet providersEnhance our existing custodial crypto offerings by expanding asset selection and improving product functionalityWork with cutting-edge blockchain technology and contribute to the evolution of decentralized financeCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless crypto experiences to over a million usersHelp establish technical standards and best practices for crypto development at Wealthsimple What you’ll bring Proven experience working in the crypto/blockchain industry with hands-on development experienceDeep familiarity with integrating DEXs, wallet providers, and smart contract protocolsStrong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including transaction mechanics, gas optimization, and security considerationsExperience with Ethereum and other major blockchain networks, including Layer 2 solutionsWorking knowledge of smart contract development and interaction (EVM/SVM)Knowledge of DeFi protocols, AMMs, and decentralized exchange mechanismsUnderstanding of crypto security best practices, including key management and multi-signature implementationsExperience with Web3 libraries and tools (ethers.js, web3.js, etc.)Solid background in backend development with languages like Ruby on Rails, Java, Kotlin, or PythonStrong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate the rapidly evolving crypto landscapePassion for decentralized finance and its potential to democratize financial services Additional Information Why Wealthsimple?
