We're now seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our ObjectScale team, where you'll play a critical role in developing and implementing industry-leading distributed object storage solutions. About the Role As a Senior DevOps Engineer - Object Storage, you'll be responsible for crafting sophisticated systems and software that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You'll work closely with our engineering team to design and implement secure automation solutions, deploy and manage our continuous integration and delivery pipeline, and drive best practices to increase the quality and velocity of deployments. Key Responsibilities Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments to drive efficiency and reduce risk. Deploy and manage our continuous integration and delivery pipeline to maximize efficiency and accelerate time-to-market. Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime. Iterate on best practices to increase the quality and velocity of deployments, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business goals. Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the engineering team, promoting collaboration and innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: 10+ years of experience implementing CI/CD and DevOps/SRE practices, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Expertise in Linux utils, configuration, troubleshooting, shell, and networking, with a strong understanding of underlying technologies. Programming experience in Python, Groovy, JavaScript, or similar languages/technologies, with a focus on automation and scripting. Experience with Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins, with a strong understanding of containerization and orchestration. Excellent teamwork, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to resolve ambiguity in a quickly changing environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and experience are highly desirable: Experience with monitoring and logging technology stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), with a focus on observability and performance optimization. Experience with distributed/cluster management systems (OpenShift, Rancher Kubernetes Engine (RKE), Tanzu), with a strong understanding of scalability and high availability. Knowledge of cloud-native technologies and architectures, with a focus on scalability, security, and compliance.
