About the Apple Support College Program The Apple Support College Program is designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to develop their technical and customer service skills while working with one of the world's most innovative companies. As a College Program Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, addressing their technical queries, resolving issues, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You'll work with a wide range of Apple products, including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and iMacs, using your technical expertise and creativity to meet our customers' needs. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Apple products via phone, email, or chat, using documented processes and procedures to resolve customer issues efficiently and effectively. Engage with customers in a friendly, patient, and professional manner, tailoring your approach to each individual's needs and preferences. Use your technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and provide comprehensive solutions. Collaborate with other advisors and teams to share knowledge, best practices, and expertise, ensuring a cohesive and supportive work environment. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your technical and customer service skills, staying up-to-date with the latest Apple products and technologies. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following essential qualifications: Be enrolled in at least one class at a university in the U. S., pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher, with a minimum GPA of 2.7. Have a quiet, dedicated home workspace with an ergonomic chair, desk, and reliable internet connection (minimum 10 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speed, with less than 150 ms latency). Be available for nine weeks of part-time paid training, working 24 hours a week on a set schedule, followed by 20 weekly hours post-training. Be able to flex your weekly hours up or down when school is not in session, based on business needs. Meet the minimum typing speed requirement of 40 WPM while talking with customers. Successfully complete a pre-employment assessment, background check, and initial training. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: A major in Business, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related tech field. A passion for customer service and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate difficult conversations and display resilience in challenging situations. Strong technical troubleshooting skills, with the potential to acquire new skills and take on new challenges.
