Department: COM | Geriatrics Geriatric Education Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The AGEC Education Coordinator will be the lead liaison for AGEC educational program development and related activities. He/she will utilize an online learning management system to create and develop educational objectives, learning modules, and corresponding competency frameworks/evaluations designed to facilitate online student training and educational events. He/she will develop appropriate learner assessment/evaluation tools, provide interpretation of such assessments, and develop recommendations/implementation/action plans based on said data regularly. He/she will be responsible for continued updates to AGEC online courses, providing administrative support and maintaining and updating the learning management system, and implementing course/module changes based on student educational outcomes and data evaluation. He/she will maintain competencies in new educational resources, trends, and technologies, and will stay abreast of the Age and Dementia-Friendly Health System’s 4Ms Framework updates and be able to do community presentations. The AGEC Education Coordinator will be involved in GWEP-related educational events and activities, including coordination with GWEP academic partners and faculty/students/residents/mentors involved in GWEP programs/activities and/or clinical educational experiences. He/she will work directly with the GWEP PI, Outreach Manager, and Clinical Director. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology, health sciences, business, or related field plus three (3) years of coordinating educational programs required. Oral and written communication experience. Organization and customer service experience. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or Instructional Development/Technology, plus one (1) year of experience coordinating educational programs and related teaching experience. Certifications/trainings in instructional design, online learning systems, etc. Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe/Workday LMS systems, SCORM file creation, Experience with Rise360 platforms. Experience with academic, health professions, adult, or student education populations; online education and data collection tools, and online learning management software experience. Community education experience. Responsibilities: Serves as the liaison and curriculum/education specialist/coordinator for all education-related activities (events, education, data collection, evaluation, reporting, etc.), working with the GWEP Clinical Director, Outreach Manager, Education Coordinator, and the GWEP PD/PI. Research literature and other available sources to develop the content for and prepare syllabus materials for all required educational programs for clinical/student trainees. Utilizes the Learning Management System to develop, maintain, and monitor required and needed content, progress, and completion of various trainings. Develop and distribute educational materials/resources. Participate in evaluation activities and assist with the educational requirements of GWEP-supported individuals in positions with stipend support. Schedule training and education sessions; prepare all materials and report on clinical/student activities and experiential learning data. Assist the GWEP clinical director in developing the education programs necessary for clinical sites to obtain Age-Friendly status and to advance their certification when appropriate. tion and certifications. Responsible for timely responses to online student/resident educational training concerns/questions. Develop, maintain, and monitor the completion of training and educational materials. Participate in the evaluation of educational activities, ensure training is available for all remote learners and partners. Responsible for the administration/maintenance of the LMS system and updates. Schedule training and education sessions; support grant writing activities and reports related to all GWEP educational programs, collaborations, and trainees. Work with UAMS and other grant personnel to collect and enter data for all grant purposes and reports. Meets with clinical and educational partners and schedules events, and works with staff to obtain CE when appropriate. Produce drafts for grant reports, attend meetings, contact faculty, and ensure compliance with guidelines for obtaining CE credit for multiple disciplines. Collaborate with GWEP staff on new program and partner development, and work with GWEP staff on program evaluation activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
