About the position Responsibilities • Direct day-to-day network operations, including monitoring, incident response, and problem resolution. • Establish and track KPIs and SLAs for network performance, uptime, and user satisfaction. • Drive automation and observability practices to improve efficiency and reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Repair). • Operate and be responsible for all airports, campus and remote offices, contact centers, Cloud, and 3rd party network connectivity, and their associated architecture, engineering, operations, and vendor relationships. • Lead and develop a large team of world class operational talent passionate about networking at true enterprise scale. • Operate as an inspiring leader internally and externally as we educate on next-generation networking. • Work with senior leadership across cybersecurity, end user enablement, and various business groups across the airline (operations, digital channels, contact centers, etc.). • Recruit and lead from the core of our Operational Excellence culture, with diversity, inclusion, and belonging at the center. • Continue to evolve to software defined network. • Serve as the escalation point for major network incidents and outages. • Lead post-incident reviews and root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. • Work closely with application, infrastructure, cloud, and business teams to support initiatives such as mergers/acquisitions, new site rollouts, or digital transformation. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field. • 3+ years of experience in software engineering. • 5+ years of experience leading network teams at scale. • 5+ years of experience working in or adjacent to a cloud environment. • 7+ years of experience in network engineering. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship. • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification. • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
