Job Summary and Key Responsibilities As an Online Adjunct Professor - Applied Research Methods Expert, you will play a critical role in supervising doctoral candidates as they conduct methodologically sound research, reviewing capstone project manuscripts, and providing detailed feedback specific to applied research methods. Your expertise and guidance will be instrumental in helping our students achieve their academic goals and make meaningful contributions to the field of education. Your key responsibilities will include: Supervising doctoral candidates in the development and implementation of their research projects, ensuring that their methods are sound and aligned with the School of Education's capstone handbook and university policies. Reviewing capstone project manuscripts and providing detailed, constructive feedback to help students improve their research and writing skills. Maintaining regular communication with doctoral candidates to ensure compliance with university policies and procedures, as well as to provide ongoing support and guidance throughout their research journey. Employing a variety of teaching techniques to create engaging and effective learning experiences for students, including online discussions, video conferencing, and written feedback. Collaborating with other faculty members and staff to ensure that students receive a comprehensive and well-rounded education that prepares them for success in their chosen careers. Minimal Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimal qualifications and requirements: Earned EdD or PhD in Education from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U. S. Department of Education. Demonstrated expertise in qualitative research methods and a strong understanding of applied research principles. Superior interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds. Creative, innovative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and approach complex problems from multiple angles. Proficiency in MS Office and Canvas, as well as excellent technical skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Full doctrinal compatibility with Liberty University, as well as a personal commitment to the university's mission and values. Pastoral reference letter, signed by the Pastor from your current church, dated 2023 or 2024, on the church letterhead. Two professional reference letters, highlighting your expertise, teaching experience, and personal qualities. Preferred Qualifications and Experience While not required, the following qualifications and experience are preferred: Established record of research and scholarship, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. Experience mentoring doctoral students, particularly in the areas of capstone, dissertation, or thesis development. Familiarity with online learning platforms, such as Canvas, and experience teaching research methods in an online environment. Teaching license or certification, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field of education.
