Job Summary We're seeking an experienced and dynamic District Manager to lead our Field Marketing Team in driving growth and awareness for the Costco Auto Program. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing a team of WMS Managers, maintaining a territory of warehouses, and developing effective marketing strategies to increase program visibility and member awareness. Key Responsibilities Institute and continuously reinforce the importance of the relationship between the program and the warehouses Establish an open relationship and communicate information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, email, and regular interpersonal communication Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities Monitor your assigned team's warehouse displays to watch for adjustments in locations, trends, etc., and review findings with your assigned team members Review team members' warehouse visit prep and post-visit work through one-on-one meetings Regularly monitor your assigned team's phone calls and system documentation for quality and coaching opportunities Complete field shadows with each assigned employee Work closely with other team managers and the assigned Operations Manager to enhance and develop new tools to improve efficiencies for the team Review and provide approvals for vacation/time off requests, business travel requests, rack replacements, monthly allocations, and more Assist with the planning and execution of OEM initiatives on the warehouse level domestically and internationally Independently manage your relationships and oversee marketing improvement/awareness for warehouses domestically and internationally in your assigned area(s) Develop a marketing plan for your assigned area(s) to increase visibility of the program and member awareness Develop effective ways to market new products into an area with correlating marketing campaigns Develop strong relationships with your client's decision makers Maintain an understanding of your client's current goals and objectives Continuous education on product knowledge and events to successfully communicate the company's goals and vision Understand how the competitors relate to their customer by researching and shopping them in your assigned areas Analyze and formally report pertinent data to the key managers to assist with strategic direction for marketing pieces, vehicle display, and education on the program/events Maintain superior client service levels to increase support of the company's objectives Plan and conduct virtual/onsite educational presentations for managers and personnel Collaborate with your direct supervisor on current marketing trends, opportunities, and goals regarding your assigned areas Document pertinent information in the company's internal CRM (contacts, displays, visit evaluations form, connection notes, etc.) Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications and requirements: A four-year college or university degree, or minimum of three (3) years of related manager/leadership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Proven experience working in a similar management role to include performance management and coaching of remote employees Strong understanding of business management, financial, and leadership principles Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills Experience with process improvement to increase efficiency of department Strong presentation skills, including and not limited to onsite and/or virtual meetings Able to independently plan and successfully travel 26+ weeks per year Ability to actively listen and overcome client objections or concerns Ability to engage professionally in challenging conversations Ability to seek out opportunities to increase program awareness Friendly demeanor, positive attitude, and professional appearance Excellent organizational skills through providing plan of actions for warehouse support initiatives, connections, and meetings Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Teams, etc.) Excellent follow-up skills, detail-oriented, and efficient Excellent time management to adjust to business needs Self-motivated, flexible, and works well in a team environment or independently Able to successfully plan long-term and execute smaller goals to achieve the long-term goal(s) Continually strives to improve skills and knowledge Lifting (up to 50lbs) What We Offer As a District Manager, Field Marketing Team, you'll enjoy a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for career growth and development.
