About the Role As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team reporting to a Supervisor, Customer Experience, starting in November 2023. You will be responsible for responding to a high volume of inbound phone calls, working with customers and Sales team members daily in a team-based environment, and using a computer and multiple computer programs to resolve customers' challenges. Key Responsibilities Build customer relationships by responding to a high volume of inbound phone calls in a professional and courteous manner Work with customers and Sales team members daily in a team-based environment to resolve customer inquiries and concerns Use a computer and multiple computer programs to resolve customers' challenges, including account selection, product identification, order placement, and order management Resolve pricing and invoicing discrepancies, apply credit, and implement return procedures as needed Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded Essential Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or retail environment Ability to commute to our facility from your home and have a secure workspace at home dedicated to job activity Proficiency in operating and navigating multiple PC-based programs at once, including Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software Stable internet with ability to provide proof of internet speeds greater than 5 megabits per second upload, 15 megabits per second download, and ping less than 80 milliseconds Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in a hybrid or remote environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Experience with customer service software and technology, including CRM systems and helpdesk software What We Offer At Grainger, we're committed to providing our employees with a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for career growth and development, and a positive and inclusive work environment. Compensation and Salary We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15.80, with three automatic raises in 12 months bringing your pay to $17.00 per hour.
