About the Role As an Associate Data Scientist in our PRM division, you'll be part of a dynamic team that uses advanced quantitative analysis and modeling to inform business decisions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business problems, develop data-driven solutions, and implement models that drive revenue growth and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy advanced quantitative models using operations research, statistical, machine learning, and programming skills to drive business decisions and operations. Utilize data engineering and programming skills to clean and preprocess data, create data pipelines, and deploy models to production. Collaborate with partner teams to understand business problems, develop solutions, and improve existing models and automated processes. Present findings and insights to stakeholders, including senior management, and communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner. Work primarily in Python, SQL, or other coding languages to develop and implement models and algorithms. Develop hypotheses to test and understand the implications of results, and coach and collaborate with other team members to drive continuous improvement. Maintain code standards, participate in code reviews, and document workflows, models, and code. Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Previous professional experience with SQL, Python, R, or other coding languages. Experience with statistical analysis and modeling, with a strong understanding of quantitative concepts and techniques. 0-2 years of relevant professional experience, with a preference for experience in airline pricing, revenue management, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Experience in a carrier pricing, yield management, revenue analysis, or a related role. Knowledge of operations research, statistical, machine learning, or programming solutions and techniques. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need: Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative analysis and model development independently. Strong understanding of economic and pricing management concepts, with the ability to apply these concepts to coding models and analytical products.
