Join the AWS Energy Team as an Energy Ops Business Analyst and Drive Success in Renewable Energy Contract Management Are you a motivated and analytical professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the renewable energy sector? We are seeking an experienced Energy Ops Business Analyst to join our AWS Energy Team, based in Remote, and play a critical role in managing the world's largest portfolio of corporate renewable energy contracts. About the Amazon Energy Procurement Operations (EPO) Team The Amazon Energy Procurement Operations (EPO) team is responsible for managing supply contracts post-execution, providing controllership and governance of energy spend, tracking environmental attributes, and ensuring compliance with external regulations, contract obligations, and internal policies. As an Energy Ops Business Analyst, you will be part of the team responsible for managing the onboarding of new energy projects and contracts, overseeing data connectivity management, analyzing and reporting renewable energy project performance, and tracking key contractual metrics and obligations. Key Responsibilities Support Energy Agreements and Renewable Power Purchase Agreements: Assist in overseeing energy agreements and renewable power purchase agreements globally, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and internal policies. Onboarding Process for Energy Contracts: Support the onboarding process for energy contracts across different geographies with a large number of counterparties and internal stakeholders, tracking progress and driving successful completion. Data Connectivity Management: Support data connectivity activities, including oversight of vendors and service providers, planning and scheduling activities, commercial issue resolution, and overall management of data connections. Portfolio Performance Analysis and Reporting: Report and analyze portfolio performance in collaboration with other teams, identifying impacts to our business units and customers. Contractual Obligations Management: Support the management of contractual obligations with counterparties, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions. Initiatives to Improve Energy Operations: Plan and drive execution of initiatives to improve our energy operations, continuously seeking to invent and simplify to achieve further scale effects for Amazon's management of its energy portfolio. Collaboration with AWS and Amazon Teams: Work collaboratively with other AWS and Amazon teams to support the management of energy programs. Consolidate Portfolio Reporting KPIs: Consolidate portfolio reporting KPIs to help define program goals and use metrics to draw business insights. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the energy or utility industry. Reporting and Metrics: Experience managing building reports, metrics, and reporting mechanisms. Preferred Qualifications Utility/Energy Industry Experience: Experience working in the utility/energy industry, preferably in compliance, regulatory, asset/contract management, market operations, or similar. Wind and Solar Project Experience: Experience in reporting and analyzing performance of wind and solar projects. Transaction Management: Experience in managing transactions, including supplier management, contract management, or managing commercial relationships with vendors or customers. Technology-Driven Process Improvements: Prior experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements in manual processes. Project Timeline Management: Experience planning, scheduling, and tracking project timelines and milestones. Automated Tool Development: Experience developing or leading the development of automated tools, defining business requirements, and driving implementation. Multi-Project Management: The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent speaking, listening, and writing skills, with attention to detail. Data Analysis and Visualization: Experience with Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools. Compensation and Benefits Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, with a base pay ranging from $59,500/year to $143,100/year, depending on location and experience.
