Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Packaging Strategy Lead-Data. As a key member of our Possessed Brand Management and Product Design team, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and growing brand love through packaging that is visitor-driven, on-brand, competitive, and category-relevant. This is a remote position, offering a competitive salary of $26 per hour, with immediate openings available. Key Responsibilities Build fundamental information requirements, scientific classification structures, and specific loyalty rationale to support packaging design optimization and sustainability efforts across all Owned Brand organizations. Collaborate with significant obtaining, design, store operations, marketing, supply chain, properties, and compliance program owners in establishing relevant information requirements and flexible guidelines that consistently reflect our commitment to safety, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and performance. Develop and administer change processes to ensure accurate packaging document management portfolios across multiple systems and partner teams. Create, maintain, and execute innovative training and creative assets, for internal and external audiences, to drive comprehensive understanding of standards, specifications, and data accuracy best practices. Evaluate information requirements, standards, and specifications to advance protected, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that align with industry standards, improve good engineering practices, are consistent with risk tolerance assumptions, and maintain a leadership position in the industry. Offer support and guidance to cross-functional teams and colleagues to ensure proper interpretation and implementation of packaging information requirements, standards, and specifications. Communicate with relevant internal regulation and compliance authorities, identifying impacts on current information requirements and standards, taking action to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional global partners to drive effective communication and roadshows around stated objective development, compliance, and data accuracy best practice requirements and expectations. Utilize data to identify trends or issues, in collaboration with technology teams, to measure the effectiveness of training delivered and communications sent. Investigate industry trends and review Target's corresponding data and standards practices, sharing insights and recommendations with the appropriate audience for change and compliance. Provide leadership and guidance to others, driving effectiveness and efficiency in team results. Develop and maintain a positive team culture by demonstrating behaviors consistent with Target's values of Inclusivity, Association, and Drive; ensuring ongoing, effective communications to the team, and supporting individualized development by offering regular performance feedback, coaching, recognition, and assessment. Essential Qualifications 4-year degree or equivalent experience 4+ years of experience creating and managing documentation and guidelines programs, preferably including packaging design and development Ability to influence without power, manage projects, work with groups, resolve conflict, build consensus, establish affinity, and collaborate effectively, both internally and externally, across all levels of an organization Experience with documentation best practices, technical writing, and reporting Skilled at creating and advising on content, structure, and delivery of effective training platforms, roadshows, and communication Experience leading teams or projects, driving collaboration, empowerment, and cooperation Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking, and technical skills Related experience with packaging or consumer goods manufacturing preferred Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Flexibility and resilience; open to working in uncertain and constantly changing conditions Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment Ability to work, communicate, and lead in a highly collaborative environment Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Visio applications Preferred Qualifications Experience with data analysis and interpretation Knowledge of industry trends and developments in packaging design and sustainability Experience with project management tools and software Certification in packaging design or a related field Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Target, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
