Job Summary The Consumer Insights Manager will be responsible for managing primary research projects that support National Geographic Content and Media. This role will focus on tactical research questions that drive audience engagement and conversion across our content platforms, including television, streaming, social media, digital content, and magazines. The successful candidate will have a strong professional presence, experience in leading by influence, and the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Designing and Executing Primary Research: Develop and implement primary research projects using quantitative, qualitative, and UX research methodologies to inform audience engagement and conversion strategies. Curating Complex Data: Translate complex data sets into actionable insights and compelling deliverables, including presentations and reports. Customer Feedback Loops: Design, implement, and monitor customer feedback loops to ensure continuous learning and improvement. Supporting Multiple Lines of Business: Provide regular reporting on audience reach and media valuations to support multiple lines of business. Mining Syndicated Resources: Leverage syndicated resources to inform product, market, and business insights. Thought Leadership: Push a regular cadence of thought leadership and insights across stakeholder groups. Essential Qualifications Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a Consumer Insights, Market Research, UX Research, Strategy, or similar role. Data Analysis: Ability to design and produce compelling narratives and visualizations from data. Project Management: Experience project managing high-profile projects and presenting findings to executive-level stakeholders. Technical Skills: Experience with DIY survey tools, data platforms, and online qualitative software. Vendor Management: Experience managing outside vendors. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Critical Thinking: Critical thinking and analytical skills are a must – both in assessing the needs of the business as well as the ability to analyze data and produce actionable insights. Preferred Qualifications Education: Master’s degree or higher in Social Science, Business (MBA, Admin), or Statistics. What We Offer We offer a competitive salary ranging from $83,600 to $114,900 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, you will be eligible for a bonus and/or long-term incentive units, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, financial, and other benefits. Work Environment and Culture We are a remote-friendly organization, and this role can be performed from anywhere. However, you must be able to commute to our Washington, D.
