Microsoft's Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) team is seeking a Director of Security Project Delivery, Americas to join their team on a remote basis. As a key member of the Data Center Physical Security (DCPS) organization, you will play a critical role in driving the delivery of trustworthy and efficient physical security services to protect Microsoft's global cloud infrastructure. About Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) and Data Center Physical Security (DCPS) CO+I is the team behind one of the world's largest cloud infrastructures, powering all Microsoft online products and services. The team's focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. DCPS is a critical component of CO+I, responsible for delivering physical security services to protect Microsoft's datacenters, leased collocations, and other facilities. The team is committed to being the most reliable, meticulous, and trusted industry provider of hyperscale cloud physical security. Key Responsibilities Lead High-Profile Projects: Implement the design and specification of alarm systems, access control, video surveillance, and other physical security equipment to achieve security program goals for special projects and initiatives. Oversee Project Delivery: Review, modify, and approve security designs produced by external vendors, ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with established baseline requirements, deadlines, and budget. Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Datacenter Engineering, Datacenter Operations, Datacenter Development, Security Operations, and Global Security, as well as external vendors to overcome challenges and deliver results. Improve Work Processes: Document and improve work processes to make workflow more efficient and productive. Provide Subject Matter Expertise: Contribute to the research and recommendation of technical security systems, and participate in project estimating and budgeting processes. Qualifications and Requirements Essential Qualifications 8+ years of experience in Security Program or Program Management or related field. 5+ years of site/construction management experience in the field. 3+ years of experience in managing the deployment of physical security systems. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements. Preferred Qualifications Extensive knowledge of foundational security principles, including alarm, access control, and video surveillance systems. Experience making and influencing decisions that impact mission-critical, 24x7 operations environments. Direct experience in engineering, design, and installation of security systems in datacenters or other critical infrastructure environments. Familiarity with physical security systems project management. PSP, CPP, PMP, or CSPM certifications. Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Art in security, engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
