About the Role We're seeking an exceptional Director, Technical Program Management - Enterprise Platforms Technology to join our team. As a Technical Program Management leader, you'll play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives that enhance our Delivery Experience. You'll oversee complex technical projects, align cross-functional teams, and ensure the successful delivery of solutions that propel Capital One's delivery capabilities forward. Key Responsibilities: Spearhead strategic initiatives to enhance various aspects of our Delivery Experience, driving transformative change across the organization. Oversee complex technical projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of high-impact solutions. Align cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving collective success. Collaborate closely with senior leadership, leveraging your expertise in program management and technical acumen to inform strategic decisions. Develop and grow a team of Technical Program Managers, building the foundations for a robust TPM practice. Simplify complex technical concepts, driving well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving execution, follow-through, accountability, and results. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent). At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs, with a proven track record of success. Strong technical background, ideally building highly scalable platforms, products, or services. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization. Excellent problem-solving and influencing skills, with a quantitative approach to problem-solving. Preferred Qualifications To take your application to the next level, consider the following preferred qualifications: 7+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing. 3+ years of experience building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture (preferably AWS). 3+ years of experience building highly scalable mobile products and platforms. 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery methodologies. 3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs, owning the business or technical vision, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and software development tooling. Experience building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment. MBA or Master's Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary, reflecting our commitment to attracting the best talent. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are: New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $233,100 - $266,000 for Director, Technical Program Management. In addition to salary, you'll be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
