About the Position:Cologix is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting organization. This position will report to the Sr. Technical Accounting Manager and will be focused on various general ledger activities including, but not limited to, fixed assets, debt, accruals, foreign currency, intercompany and consolidations. What you do daily: Prepares general ledger transactions timely and accuratelyOrganizes and maintains sub-ledger transaction filesEnsures a timely and accurate close process for areas of responsibilityPerforms analysis of monthly expense fluctuations and presents explanations to managementEnsures compliance with company policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsProvides support for the annual external auditPerforms research, resolves issues, initiates corrective actions and adjustmentsTakes ownership in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and process improvements for areas of responsibilityLearns established processes and seeks continual process improvement while handling daily work What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications) BS degree in Accounting3 to 7 years of related experience including accounting and auditing skills, demonstrating increasing responsibilityKnowledge of GAAP, internal control and financial reporting conceptsStrong to expert Excel skills and aptitude for technologyStrong communication and interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect and build relationships with other departments, vendors, and customersAbility to manage and prioritize multiple and competing priorities while meeting established deadlinesProcess improvement mindsetAdaptability, personal accountability, high degree of ownership and a strong drive to succeedPositive attitude with a desire to learn and a want to understand responsibilities and improve themNetSuite experience strongly preferred***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.
