Job Summary In this exciting role, you will be responsible for providing top-tier customer service while performing preventative maintenance services for our guests' vehicles. Through our award-winning training program, you will learn the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed as an auto technician, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery testing and replacement, and more. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and battery testing and replacement Conduct 18-point safety checks to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company safety protocols and procedures Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need: Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to changing schedules and priorities An eagerness to learn, a friendly attitude, and a desire to be part of a customer-focused team Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Mobility to crouch, bend, twist, and work with your hands above your head Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in the automotive industry or a related field Completion of a vocational training program in automotive repair or a related field ASE certification or willingness to obtain certification Experience working with a variety of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and SUVs Skills and Competencies: To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and competencies: Technical skills: ability to learn and apply technical knowledge and skills related to automotive repair and maintenance Customer service skills: ability to provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner Teamwork and collaboration: ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives Communication skills: ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management Problem-solving skills: ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner Career Growth and Development: At Valvoline Instant Oil Change, we are committed to helping our team members achieve their career goals and aspirations.
