Software Engineer Sr - FullstackRole SummaryThis position will be responsible for designing and developing software modules for next-generation mobility services like Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), Transport-as-a-Service (TaaS) and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV), like Robo-Taxis and -Transporters. The position gives the opportunity to develop functional prototypes to illustrate novel concepts as well as build production implementations for VW Group products. The position gives the flexibility to learn new things, try new technology, seek opportunities to grow, mentor and be mentored. Role Responsibilities●Develop a native, clean Android Kotlin ride-hailing app for mobile + the HMI (45 %)●Collaborate across functions with service developers, product managers, designers, and vehicle operations to deliver the ADMT Rider experience (15%)●Debug, investigate issues found in the production applications (15%)●Create design, architecture, process documents for new features being added to the application (10%)●Write functional, UI/UX test for Android and iOS applications (10%)Mentor junior engineers and unblock the team on technical issues (5%)QualificationsYears of Relevant Experience7-10+ years of experience on design, development EducationRequiredBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent. DesiredMSc/PHD preferred. SkillsProblem solving skills. Analytical skills. Conceptual thinking skills. Effectively work with others across a broad range of technologies, processes, and systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required given our distributed and diverse team. Belief in rigorous, high-quality engineering that produces tangible results quickly. Specialized Skills Required●Experience with one or more published Android applications●Experience with Model View View-Model (MVVM) design pattern●Experience building clean Material Design user interfaces and reactive programming●Experience with mobile testing frameworks●Experience with writing reusable, maintainable and testable codeWork FlexibilityReadiness for international business trips to visit ADMT GmbH, Volkswagen AG. Flexibility to travel within US and Europe. In the Silicon Valley region, the salary range for this role will be $165,000 - $190,000, depending on education and years of relevant experience. Salary is determined by geographical location and adjusted accordingly.
